Calls for hosting the annual European Conference on Thermoelectrics ECT

The European Thermoelectric Society ETS solicit organizations from the European region interested in hosting its annual European Conference on Thermoelectrics ECT.

ECT is considered the most important European annual meeting for scientists, engineers, and industry in the field of thermoelectric research, development of new materials and applications in power generation, refrigeration, thermal management, and sensing equipment. The international prestige of this conference has continued to grow over the years with attendance at our most recent meetings typically exceeding 300 attendees. It is expected that the proposing organization is recognized in the field of thermoelectricity or have strong connections with well-known thermoelectric groups. Calls for the organization of ECT conferences are announced each year at the ECT conferences. The selection of the hosting site will take place during the ECT conference by the ETS board members. The European Thermoelectric Society ETS is soliciting organizations from the European region interested in hosting its annual European Conference on Thermoelectrics in 2025 (ECT2025). The ECT is considered the most important European annual meeting for scientists, engineers, and industry in the field of thermoelectric research, development of new materials and applications in power generation, refrigeration, thermal management, and sensing equipment.

The international prestige of this conference has continued to grow over the years with attendance at our most recent meetings typically exceeding 300 attendees. Thus, the ETS Board’s preference is for candidate organizations, especially universities and national laboratories, located in Europe to host ECT2025. It is also expected that the proposing organizations must be or have strong connections with a well-known thermoelectric group.

The organizers have to sign the Memorandum of Understanding of the European Thermoelectric Society (ETS) for hosting the European Conference on Thermoelectrics in 2025 (ECT2025). Interested parties should first send, as soon as possible, a brief notice of intent to propose hosting the 2025 ETS Conference preferably by e-mail to J. König jan.koenig@ipm.fraunhofer.de.
